What we've got here is a very successful franchise from 3DO about to make another appearance, with a new title for the PC. Might and Magic has been around forever, a classic series in ranks with the likes of Origin's Ultima. I remember playing my first Might and Magic title on my C-64 back in the 80's. The last few Might and Magic titles were good games, and Crusaders was the first to see a long needed upgraded in the graphics department. Using Monolith's LithTech Engine, Legends of Might and Magic is set for modern 3D rendering as well, and so far things are looking great.

The original idea was to make LMM an online RPG, a nice idea considering the massive online RPG market is currently dominated by EverQuest and Asheron's call, the former being the most popular. However the concept has now changed to an online team action game, like UT or Quake 3, pitting player against player in a fantasy shoot em up. Good idea or bad idea? We'll have to wait and see when we get to play the game, although the gaming world can seriously use some more online RPG's so the news is a little saddening.

You can play up to six different classes, 3 good and 3 evil they are:

GOOD
Paladin
Druid
Sorceress
.
EVIL
Warrior
Heretic
Archer

There are also a series a game styles you'll be able to play, with a take on capture the flag, death match and escort, but we'll give you an update on this in a bit.

DA FEATURES

-Team vs.Team combat for up to 16 players via Internet and Lan

-Fully 3D world powered by Monolith's LithTech game engine

-Detailed indoor outdoor areas
